NIDHI SAMANI

Born: 1968, India

Resides: Singapore, Taipei, London

Nidhi Samani, an artist with a rich heritage in fashion design and art, began her creative

journey in 1988, deeply influenced by her family and cultural roots. Her art is a profound

exploration of the natural world, philosophy, and the spirit of meditation, reflecting her deep

interest in inward exploration and the sensory connection between the virtual and real worlds.

Nidhi's art is distinguished by its unique synthesis of inner feelings and tangible reality, a

process where she dissolves the boundaries between the two to create a natural code that

appeals to the senses. Her work often merges the spirit and the natural world, resulting in art

that resonates with introspective and emotional depth.

While contemporary art often leans towards abstraction, Nidhi's Abstract series is

characterized by techniques of superimposition, juxtaposition, and re-contextualization,

evoking urban and rural landscapes that reveal the introspective realities of modern

civilization.

A fascination with Chinese brush strokes led her to train under Master Lin Lu Zai in

Singapore, which influenced her Blooms series. This series intertwines the cultural

narratives of the cities she has visited with the objects in her art, creating a rich tapestry that

documents memory and the interconnection between natural and spiritual realms.

In her Journeys Beyond series, Nidhi subtly incorporates metaphysical and non-material

concepts, creating paintings that convey a rhythm of calm amidst the chaos of the modern

world. Her work stands out in the art world for its rare perspective, which turns inward to

reflect the natural world, ultimately leading viewers back to their own hearts and spirits. This

distinctive approach allows her art to transcend cultural boundaries, establishing a unique and

personal style.

Nidhi Samani's work has been exhibited internationally, including in Taipei, Singapore,

India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and beyond. Notable exhibitions include the 2024 Hong Kong

Affordable Art Fair, 2023 Shanghai Affordable Art Fair, 2022 ONE ART Taipei, 2021 ART

TAIPEI, 2021 Spring-Time - Art Trail Group Exhibition in Taipei, and the 2019 ARTery at

Marina Bay Sands Exhibition Center in Singapore.

Kong, India, Kenya, New Zealand, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the UK, with collectors ranging
